Richard has spent the last 25 years advising commercial and public sector clients on strategy.​​

Before Different Drum Richard was Chief Strategy Officer EMEA and UK Chairman at Wunderman Thompson, one of WPPs largest and most forward-thinking creative agencies. ​

​In addition to working with clients on social impact strategy at Different Drum, Richard is also an advisor to Near Future Ventures, an ESG-Focused VC fund.​

Richard originally graduated in Mechanical Engineering and loves bringing systems thinking and rigour to human problems ​

Simon Wall

Throughout his career, Simon has used data and analytics to develop strategies for his clients.

Prior to Different Drum, Simon was co-founder and CEO of the award-winning Strategic Analytics Consultancy Fuel, which was acquired by the Engine Group. That was followed by a spell as a partner at Now, the independent creative agency.

Since then, he has consulted extensively and exclusively in the health and charity sectors.

Simon has a Masters in Space Science and Systems, so is in a minority who can use the phrase “It’s not rocket science” with authority.
